Keeping the promises to ourselves

Making small sustainable changes, one step at a time

You’ve made applaudable efforts to stick to your goals or routines, but you never quite stay consistent or see the progress you were hoping for.

You may have noticed your longing to pick up the guitar that you’ve abandoned for years, but it remains a permanent decor fixture in your home.

You should be making time for a daily yoga practice, but your mat is collecting dust in the corner. You don’t understand how all of your peers keep it up so easily.

You know it’s necessary to reduce your carb intake, but the flaky buttery croissant beckons your name at the bakery every time.

It’s just too hard!

When you know what you’re supposed to do, the whys, the how-tos, and refuse to take action…

That internal war with yourself is called…

You’ve become the master of perfectly real & reasonable excuses,

but what if your everyday life could better reflect your intentions?

Change is not supposed to be perfect or linear

  • Be patient & at peace with your own pace

  • Understand why you make the choices you do

  • Identify your values and true priorities

  • Minimize the compare & despair

  • Accept your starting point, limitations, and privileges

  • Celebrate your own growth

  • Learn when and how to expand your capacity for more

What if you could…

Welcome to DirtyWork

Nobody likes it! It can be muddy, vulnerable, and hard. You’d rather skip this part and get straight to the happy ending. But as they say, the only way out is through.

DirtyWork is a group program that uses spiritual and practical tools to help the discipline challenged person go from feeling defeated and disappointed in themselves to compassionately showing up and cultivating meaningful habits within the support of a community.

Hello, I’m Nicole.

When I set out to heal my physical body outside of western medicine, I would watch other people on the same path with a twinge of envy. I would observe their perfectly curated days of supplement schedules, food selections, and self care treatments… all while showing up as a dedicated friend, parent, or business owner. They were transforming their lives and getting results.

Meanwhile, it seemed like I was only operating at 50% comparatively. I was trying to emulate what they were doing. I was often healer hopping hopeful they would have the solution that would finally give me my transformation, but I would leave with a sense of disillusionment or anticlimactic satisfaction. The number of items required to reach “healed” status seemed unattainable, and the comparisonitis was driving me further into perfectionism, avoidance, and collapse.

I kept thinking, “what’s wrong with me that I can’t do it as well as everyone else?” “What if I don’t want to give up caffeine?” “I’m still making some changes, isn’t that enough?” “It’s just easier to give up.”

A fellow human on the never ending journey of self inquiry

Eventually, I came to observe that many of the success stories I watched from afar involved an unwavering commitment to themselves and a good dose of hard.ass.work.

That didn’t mean these people were miserable, forceful, or born with some gene for no sweat perseverance.

But, it did mean they were willing to show up for themselves and set aside their discomfort. They also rested in the cradle of a community and didn’t do it alone.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

  • “There’s a reason why all of Nicole’s clients love her. She’s a fantastic therapist! Through her compassion, knowledge, and skill, I was able to break through blocks that had held me back for years, bringing me so much creativity, imagination, and self-worth. The level of care she shows is incredible, and so too is her tireless pursuit to grow as a professional and learn more about how to help people heal. In a time when there are so many therapists, coaches, and self-help gurus to choose from, it’s hard to know who to trust. Nicole is someone you can trust to help you find healing and inner strength.”

  • “I cannot recommend Nicole enough! I actually look forward to our sessions each week, which is something I never thought I would say. Nicole gives you helpful guidance and feedback while also giving you the freedom to come to conclusions on your own. She also recommends things you could do on your own in-between sessions, which I personally love!

  • Nicole is a very genuine and open person. She is easy to talk to and an excellent listener. She notices details that a lot of other people overlook. Her strength and dedication shine through her work with you. I highly recommend her.

I don’t know!
We humans like certainty.

I know lots of these programs make promises. I, too, get captivated by the lure of how big and fulfilling these dreams can be if we get the results.
Who will have the answer you’ve been looking for?

You.
It’s always you.

Some of you will have profound changes, and for others it will be the beginning of your unfolding and discovery.

I can’t tell you if you’ll get what you’re hoping for, but you’ll certainly have the opportunity to learn about yourself, connect meaningfully with others, and be a participant in your prayers.

It can be deeply uncomfortable to confront resistance and to acknowledge how we may unintentionally create problems for ourselves, but this program is designed to make that process as gentle and accepting as possible.

But is this really going to make a difference?

You are worth the effort

And if you can’t feel that for yourself yet, I know you can feel it for others.
What if the missing piece to your healing is not another expert, but a group?

We underestimate the importance and influence of connection in our daily fulfillment and bodily health.

We’re not wired to thrive on our own.

When you join a care web, the nature of reciprocity shows that the supporting of others in turn teaches you to care for yourself.

Get Curious, Creative, & Collaborative

We can befriend our resistance by getting curious about its origin story. The ways it’s trying to help us. We can then collaborate with it to create a new reality for ourselves.

Let DirtyWork be the designated space you go for the tender maintenance of your heart.
As we connect to ourselves and each other, we bring love into each action towards our goals.
